Hard lessons (Lições difíceis)
FRIENDLY NOTE
My Brother
Nobody expects that you become a millionaire or a saint before the good enlightens your heart and guide your steps.
Sublime is a charity that turns into comfort.
Divine a charity that converts into radiant love.
From tiny seeds come the giant trees that sustain life.
Avoid talking about yourself.
Fulfill your duty without interfering with the tasks of others.
Do not look for praise while going about your obligations.
Do not get stuck to small things, when the overall good requires your collaboration.
Forgive offenses quietly...
(From the book "Our Book", by the Spirit Emmanuel, Francisco Cândido Xavier, posted first on the blog Alvorada Espiritual)
BILHETE AMIGO
“When it comes time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.”
Chief Aupumut, Mohican. 1725
Obrigada, Meri. Tenha uma otima semana. Bjs
DeleteThere are many things in life which are unexplainable, but I believe that the only way to go through them is to face them, believing that there's a reason hidden behind all happiness and all sadness we face.
ReplyDeleteHi Ana,
DeleteI also agree that there is a reason for everything, but acceptance is not always easy... Have a wonderful week!
If we but listen to the inner knowing each one of us possesses, which I believe is our spirit aligned with the Holy Spirit (in whatever form that is for each one of us), then faith should come easily. I believe each moment is perfection, good or bad, and that each moment is holy, so in that vein, our faith is the determiner...in other words we choose whether we want to forgive, be happy, be sad, or any other adjective.
ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful post! :)
Blessings,
Akasa
Hi Akasa,
DeleteThanks a lot for visiting my blog and for your thoughtful comment! Peace and light,
DeleteI have been going through a really
ReplyDeletebad patch lately. My health is
affected I have not been able to
work and I have been prescribed
medications that give temporary
relief.
I kind of had a breakthrough the
other day.Perhaps what is going
on is meant to be and I should
embrace the change and stop
trying to hang on to something
that does not work for me anymore.
I need to let go and trust that
God will guide me through this
stressful time. My family and
my friends are praying for me
and I appreciate that because
I believe that the power of prayer
or meditation, no matter what religion
you believe in, can travel across
the Universe and affect change.
I really enjoy your blog and I
find when I have time to visit you
you are usually speaking of something
that I am currently struggling with.
So thank you for taking the time
to share your thoughts with me and
with so many others.
hugs and blessings of love and light
Sharon
Hi Sharon,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your kind words. It gives me a lot of encouragement. Sometimes I ask myself: why I am writing this blog? And then, reading comments like yours, I understand why. If it helps at least one person, that is all I need to keep writing.
I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Sometimes we feel ill when we are getting ready for a big change in life. It is the conflict of the body trying to stay with what it knows, in its comfort zone, while our soul wants to fly and discover new horizons.
Let go, embrace the light. I will add my prayers to the ones from your family and friends. All is going to be well.
Love and peace,
