Society is always trying to force us to be the same
as everyone else. We are encouraged to watch TV, enjoy sports, work well in
groups, eat food that is not always healthy, and dress according with what is deemed
to be in fashion… However, if we look at nature we realize that it teaches us a
lesson on the importance of diversity, not of being identical. The leaves of a
tree are all different from each other. The small pebbles close to a lake all
have different shapes. Each grain of sand is different from the other. Each
mountain is shaped in a different way. Each bird sings a different song. The
clouds have different texture and shape… Why only human beings are supposed to
be alike?Spiritual and Inspirational Messages -Blog bilingual - English and Portuguese

Diversity (Diversidade)

Our net worth (Nossa riqueza)
If we take a test and we get a C, are we worth less
than the student who got an A? If our husband asks for a divorce and marries a
woman half our age, are we worth less than when we were married? If we work
cleaning houses, are we worth less than a doctor?Sunday, April 28, 2013
Our Nature’s Side (Nosso lado da natureza)
Each person can be identified with an element of
nature. Some people are like trees – they dig their roots and grow old in the
same place, happily watching the seasons go by. Other are like wolves – they
like to roam free, but have a specific territory to which they always return.
Others yet are like the wind – they move from one place to another without a
thought to what was left behind.
FRIENDLY NOTE
My Brother
Nobody expects that you become a millionaire or a saint before the good enlightens your heart and guide your steps.
Sublime is a charity that turns into comfort.
Divine a charity that converts into radiant love.
From tiny seeds come the giant trees that sustain life.
Avoid talking about yourself.
Fulfill your duty without interfering with the tasks of others.
Do not look for praise while going about your obligations.
Do not get stuck to small things, when the overall good requires your collaboration.
Forgive offenses quietly...

BILHETE AMIGO
“When it comes time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.”
Chief Aupumut, Mohican. 1725
Chief Aupumut, Moicano. 1725
